體壇英語資訊:Grand Slam champions leading lights on Day Four at Australian Open

Two current world No.1s, a former champion and Australia's leading title hopes headline Thursday's action at Australian Open 2010.

A record Australian Open day session crowd (46,542) was set for the second consecutive day on Wednesday, with larger numbers expected to head to Melbourne Park on Thursday to see Roger Federer, Serena Williams, Novak Djokovic, Samantha Stosur and Lleyton Hewitt in round two matches.

2008 Australian Open champion Djokovic will get the day session underway on Rod Laver Arena. The Serbian third seed faces off against Swiss world No. 58 Marco Chiudinelli.

Australia's world No. 13 Stosur will then play German Kristina Barrois. The pair have never met before and will be vying for a possible 3rd round showdown against 21st seed Sabine Lisicki.

Fellow Aussie Hewitt will close out the day session on Rod Laver Arena when he takes on American Donald Young. The South Australian won their only encounter to date 7-5, 6-2 in Washington last year.

World No.1 Federer will begin the night session, when he plays Romanian Victor Hanescu. The Swiss 15-time Grand Slam champion has defeated Hanescu on all three occasions they have played since 2004.

Australia's own comeback queen Casey Dellacqua will look to continue her good form into the third round as she faces Croatian Karolina Sprem.

The line-up on Hisense Arena is equally appealing with 2006 finalist and Melbourne favorite Marcos Baghdatis first up against Spanish 17th seed David Ferrer.

Following Baghdatis is the Williams sister act. Venus Williams plays Austrian Sybille Bammer, followed by defending champion Serena against Czech Petra Kvitova.

2008 finalist Jo-Wilfried Tsonga closes the session out on Hisense Arena. He will have to get past big-serving American Taylor Dent for a place in the third round.

Other big names on show at Australian Open 2010 tomorrow include Ana Ivanovic (20), Caroline Wozniacki (4), Tommy Haas (18), Fernando Verdasco (9), Nikolay Davydenko (6) and Victoria Azarenka (7).
