Helen: Actually, Im feeling very positive, thanks Steve.
Steve: Why? Whats happened?
Helen: Well, I found out on Friday that Im getting a promotion 提升 at BBC Learning English. Then on Saturday, I won 1,000 on the lottery.
Steve: Wow, thats brilliant!
Helen: 是啊，我星期六贏了1000鎊的彩票。不過這還不算什么，on Sunday, it got even better. 我收到通知說我畫的畫被倫敦藝術畫廊選中，過幾個星期你就能在藝術展會上看到我的作品了。 Im so happy!這么多的好事我都碰上了!
Steve: Thats amazing, Helen youre on a roll at the moment, arent you!
Helen: Im on a what?
Steve: On a roll...
Helen: Roll? 打滾?我怎么可能打滾呢?I walk, or sometimes I run if I want some exercise. 只有踢球的時候， 我腳下的足球才會滾來滾去吧。
Steve: Sure, a football rolls, but you can be on a roll. It means youre experiencing lots of success or good luck at the moment.
Helen: I see, 這個短語 on a roll, 是好事接踵而來，一帆風順的意思。 Lets listen to an example.
