◆對(duì)比反義詞法
人們?cè)诿枋觥⒄f明事物的時(shí)侯常用對(duì)比方式，在這種情況下，往往使用反義詞來說明或描述另一事物的特征。因此，我們可以通過已知的反義詞的詞義去推測生詞的含義。例如：
Andrew is one of the most supercilious men I know. His brother， in contrast， is quite humble and modest.
解析： supercilious 可能是個(gè)生詞。由于句中出現(xiàn)了短語 in contrast （相對(duì)照，相對(duì)比），根據(jù)這個(gè)線索，我們可以推測， supercilious 和后面的詞組 humble and modest （謙卑，謙虛）是對(duì)比或相反的關(guān)系。由此我們可以推斷 supercilious 可能是傲慢的，目空一切的的意思。
