Al some和any意為某一個數目或某一定的量。它們或和復數名詞或不可數名詞連用，或代替這些名詞。(關于some/any與單數名詞連用請參見下面C。)
some可以是a/an和one的復數形式：
Have a biscuit/some biscuits.
吃一塊/一些餅干。
I ate a date/some dates.
我吃了一個/一些棗。
some，any和none可以和of+the/this/these/those/所有格代詞/人稱代詞連用：
Some of the staff can speak Japanese.
一些工作人員會講日語。
Did any of your photos come out well?
你的照片有照得好的嗎?
2 some可以有下列各種用法：
與肯定動詞連用：
They bought some honey.
他們買了些蜂蜜。
用于可預料答語為是的問句中：
Did some of you sleep on the floor?
你們有人睡在了地板上嗎?(我想會是這樣。)
用于表示建議及要求的句子中：
Would you like some wine?
你想喝點葡萄酒嗎?
Could you do some typing for me?
你能給我用打點字嗎?

3 any用于以下情況：
用于否定句中：
I havent any matches.
我沒有火柴。
與hardly，barely，scarcely連用(這些詞的含義幾乎是否定的)：
I have hardly any spare time.
我簡直沒有空閑時間。
在without any(=with no)結構中，與without連用。
He crossed the frontier without any difficulty/with no difficulty.
他毫無困難地越過了邊界。
用于除上文所述之外的疑問句中：
Have you got any money?
你有錢嗎?
Did he catch any fish?
他抓到魚了嗎?
用在if/whether之后以及表示懷疑的說法中：
If you need any more money，please let me know.
如果你還需要錢，就告訴我。
I dont think there is any petrol in the tank.
我想油箱里沒有汽油了。

He doesnt believe in conventional medicine;he has some remedy or otherof his own.
他不相信傳統醫術;他自己有治療方法。
any可以表示差不多每一個、不一定是哪個。
