TEST 1 Passage one
這篇文章講的主要是一個(gè)study,a study about childrens scientific knowledge and attitudes to rain forests 開(kāi)展這個(gè)study的主要原因是children harbor misconceptions about pure, curriculum science. And these ideas may be developed by children absorbing ideas through the popular media.。并且little formal information is available about children ideas in this area
True or false not given的判斷標(biāo)準(zhǔn):
1. The plight of rainforests has largely been ignored by the media.
這題一看就知道去開(kāi)頭找答案,因?yàn)橹挥虚_(kāi)頭提到了media,第一處是第一段中間:in the face of the frequent and often vivid media coverage, it is likely that children will have formed ideas about rainforests.第二處是第二段中間 these ideas may be developed by children absorbing ideas through popular media.
2. Children only accept opinions on rainforests that they encounter in their classroom.
看第一段中間in the face of the frequent and often vivid media coverage, it is likely that children will have formed ideas about rainforests.-independent of any formal tuition.
3.It has been suggested that children hold mistaken views about the pure science
that they study at school.
從第二段第一句many studies have shown that children harbor misconceptions about pure, curriculum science,這里兩個(gè)關(guān)鍵的詞,misconceptions是表示錯(cuò)誤觀點(diǎn),curriculum表示課內(nèi)的,因此可以判斷這句話是對(duì)的,true。
4.The fact that childrens ideas about science form part of a larger framework of ideas means that it is easier to changes them.
These misconceptions do not remain isolated but become incorporated into a multifaceted, but organized, conceptual framework, making it and the component ideas, some of which are erroneous, more robust but also accessible to modification.
5.The study involved asking children a number of yes/no questions such asAre there any rainforests in Africa?
這個(gè)問(wèn)題一看就知道要到中間部分找,是關(guān)于提問(wèn)的五個(gè)問(wèn)題的,那么可以看到第四段第二句:secondary school children were asked to complete a questionnaire containing five open-form questions.
6. Girls are more likely to hold mistaken views about the rainforests destruction.
這道題目我們就要看girls和boys了,用scanning,發(fā)現(xiàn)兩處提到girls和boys,一. more girls than boys raised the idea of rainforests as animal habitats.
More girls than boys said rainforests provided human habitats.
7.The study reported here follows on from a series of studies that have looked at childrens understanding of rainforests.
One encouragement is that the results of similar studies about other environmental issues suggest that older children seem to acquire the ability to appreciate, value and evaluate the conflicting views.
8.A second study has been planned to investigate primary school childrens ideas about rainforests.
答案應(yīng)該為not given。
Questions 9-13
Questions 14
